Animal Handling & Preclinical Research Certificate Course

 

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacology at Dadasaheb Balpande College of Pharmacy, Besa, Nagpur, took a pioneering step by organizing a Certificate Course titled "Animal Handling & Preclinical Research Certificate Course." This course was conducted from 21st August 2023 to 26th August 2023, with the primary objective of equipping students with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on skills in animal handling and preclinical research.

The course aimed to provide participants with the expertise necessary to independently handle animals and conduct preclinical research while adhering to ethical guidelines and regulatory standards. It focused on key aspects such as the ethical considerations of animal experimentation, the planning and execution of preclinical animal studies, and the preparation of experimental protocols. Special emphasis was placed on developing practical skills in animal handling to prepare students for real-world research scenarios.

This initiative represents a significant step toward fostering technical competence and ethical awareness among pharmacy students, aligning with contemporary needs in preclinical research and contributing to their professional development.
