TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL OVERVIEW

The Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of any institute in today’s competitive world. Training and Placement Cell is headed by Dr. Nilesh Mahajan, Professor in Department of Pharmaceutics and well supported by Dr. Amol Warokar, Associate Professor in department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. The team works relentlessly towards imparting training, providing advanced knowledge and skill sets to make the students employable.

Training & Placement activities are conducted throughout the year to facilates the students to appear for the campus recruitment process.  Students are encouraged to participate in various competitions such as debate, group discussion, power point presentation, elocution etc. in order to enhance their confidence, and develop communication skills. DBCOP conduct Certificate Course on “Communication Skills and Resume Writing” to train and aware aspiring learners to face campus recruitment.  This training programs gives the students tips on how to crack aptitude, group discussion, interview skills and resume preparation. The college organized guest lectures series of eminent speakers belonging from various domain of pharmaceutical sciences like R & D, QA, QC, CRO, pharmacovigilance, pharma marketing, medical writing and academics. These lectures help to updates their knowledge with present scenario and opportunities in these sectors.  T & P cell also educates the students with opportunities in higher education by conducting Expert Talks to highlights the importance of GPAT, GRE examination and civil services.

Students are groomed as per current scenarios of the pharmaceutical industry. B. Pharm. students undergo six weeks training in pharma industries in their vacations facilitated by the T & P cell in reputed industries, as part of their academic requirements. Every year college organizes one-week certificate course on hands on training on Sophisticated Analytical Instruments. Visit to pharmaceutical industry and Indian Pharmaceutical Congress is regular practice.

      OBJECTIVES

• To prepare and train aspiring learners to face campus recruitment by providing them training with relevance to communication skills and overall development for personal & professional grooming.
• To arrange guest lectures of industrial and academic experts to update and upgrade learners with hands on experience in the wake of ever-changing dimensions of professionalism.
• To arrange guest lecture and training sessions of alumni who are placed in reputed industries to inspire and motivate the aspiring learners.
• To make concerted and consistent efforts to enhance employability through in/off campus placements.
